We whip up several fabulous types of sausage in the shop, including chorizo, bratwurst, breakfast, hot Italian and sweet Italian, merguez, garlic beef and beef hot link. We sell out regularly, so if there's a type you have your heart set on, call ahead!
We make traditional Cornish pasties every day. A Cornish pasty (rhymes with nasty, not tasty, but don't worry they are) was the traditional lunch of miners on Cornwall, England. They are made of beef, turnip, potato and onion, mixed with seasoning and wrapped in a hand-turned crust. We're also turning out Australian meat pies and steak & kidney pies.
Our beef chili is a secret family recipe with some kick. Its delicious, if we say so ourselves, and don't worry, it's not five alarm. Get it with or without beans.
We carry farm-fresh milk in skim, low fat and whole varieties. This is the real, non-homogenized deal, so don't forget to shake before drinking. We get it from Evan's Farmhouse Creamery.
We carry animal welfare approved eggs from Autumn's Harvest farm. These come from happy chickens, you can see it when you look at the yolks - they're deep yellow, almost orange. Learn more about what animal welfare approved means.
Our bread comes from Hot Bread Kitchen, a local non-profit that offers culinary training to low-income women. We regularly carry baguettes, sourdough, ciabatta, upstate multi-grain and tortillas. We carry a variety of grains from Wild Hive, a local mill that processes grains from several local farms. On our shelves, you'll find polenta, cornmeal, oats, spelt, flours and wheatberries.
We've got house-made roast beef, ham and corned beef with a lot more variety on the way!
